Renewable Technology | South West Heat Pumps

Renewable technology.

Heat pumps, underfloor heating, air conditioning, solar panels and MVHR.

South West Heat Pumps supply, install, commission and service six different renewable technologies: ground source heat pumps, air source heat pumps, water source heat pumps, underfloor heating, air conditioning, solar PV, and Mechanical Ventilation Heat Recovery (MVHR). Click on a technology below to learn more.

Ground Source Heat Pumps

A very efficient renewable technology, a ground source heat pump can power your heating and hot water and can be combined with solar PV, air conditioning, underfloor heating and radiators.

Air Source Heat Pumps

More flexible and cost-effective than a traditional fossil fuel heating system. Air source heat pumps are simple to install and can be combined with solar panels, air conditioning, underfloor heating and radiators.

Water Source Heat Pumps

Great for heating and hot water, water source heat pumps take up very little space, last over twenty years, and require minimal maintenance.

Underfloor Heating

Very energy-efficient, underfloor heating allows you to say goodbye to ugly radiations and spreads warmth equally around the room. It’s also great for allergy and asthma sufferers as it results in much lower humidity and dust circulation than radiators.

Solar Panels (Solar PV)

Solar panels convert the suns energy into electricity, even on cloudy days. Not only are they very energy efficient and cheap to run, you can also sell any unused electricity back to the national grid.

Mechanical Ventilation Heat Recovery (MVHR)

MVHR is a ventilation system that removes stale air from your property and replaces it with fresh air. This keeps your home smelling fresh, reduces condensation and damp, and prevents heat loss (there’s no need to open windows!).
